Zip HydroTap makes a difference in BBC's DIY SOS

Quay West has triumphed in the home interest arena once again, with placement of the HydroTap from Zip Heaters on BBC1's popular DIY SOS programme. The HydroTap was installed in the home of Lucy Salamone and Mario Petagine from Watford, to assist in the specialist care of their daughter Luna.

Luna, aged three, is suffering from a brain tumour that makes her particularly susceptible to germs. Installation of the HydroTap, which delivers instant boiling and chilled water, has assisted her parents in sterilising and cleaning her medical equipment and food bottles in the serenity of her home, rather than having to manage her illness in hospital.

David Bradbrook, Marketing Director at Zip Heaters (UK) Ltd commented, "When approached by the BBC we were delighted to be able to provide a HydroTap to assist Luna's parents in caring for their daughter at home." He continued, "We usually detail the benefits of the HydroTap in terms of drinking water convenience, taste and style, but clearly, the reason it's been chosen in this case is its capability to deliver instant boiling water, for a very different purpose; something that's essential for this little girl."

The episode was broadcast at 7.30pm on Wednesday 28 April 2010 on BBC1.
